This version of Cumulus Network (previously called “Cumulus PowerPro”) is a pre-release version of the next major update to the award-winning image database system.
This demonstration version is limited to a maximum number of 2 databases and 50 records per database.
The new version of Cumulus will focus mainly on AppleScript support. It supports all AppleScript objects and commands we plan to offer with the next Cumulus Network version.
In addition, this version supports the QuickDraw 3D Viewer, enabling users to catalog, display and manipulate 3DMF files. This folder includes an empty image database file. To catalog and view the 3DMF and texture files enclosed as part of QuickDraw 3D, launch Cumulus, open the database file, and drag the 3DMF and texture files onto the database window. Cumulus will open and display one file at a time. After cataloging a 3DMF file, you can double click on the image to interact with the 3D model.
The folder "Scripts" contains compiled scripts that are automatically added to
the new "Scripts" menu in Cumulus Network. Those scripts usually require to select some
record or keyword to act on. Please read the comments of each script file using
the Script Editor application.
The folder "More Scripts" contains some useful scripts that do not use the
current selection. Some of the scripts that were available in
Cumulus 2.0.2 are now converted to the new commands of Cumulus 2.5.
The folder "Documentation" contains the revised AppleScript reference called
"Cumulus 2.5 and AppleScript". This document is supplied in Adobe Acrobat
PDF format.
Installing Cumulus 2.5
1) Create a new folder on your hard disk.
2) Copy the application "Cumulus network" and the folders "File Filters" and "Scripts" to it.
3) To access Cumulus from another application you need to install the corresponding adapter from the "Adapters" folder. Please read the corresponding SimpleText file in the "Documentation" folder for more information about the adapters.
